You need to look at the individual mill physical property specifications to determine performance differences and not at industry averages. It is difficult to make a generalization between the two areas due to the process and variable differences from one mill, or producer, to the next.

Here’s a link to the European specifications by grade that may be of some help to you. In North America we do not set minimum specification for all the 100 +/- mills that produce containerboard, so again, it’s best to investigate the specifics of individual containerboards to understand how they may perform in specific applications.
