Shock and Cushioning Characteristics

David asks:

Are there any studies or statistics that show corrugated shock, cushioning & vibration characteristics (such as sheets or pads, internal die-cuts) used inside a box compared to that of other voidfill materials such as: peanuts, air pillows, paper voidfill, bubble materials etc….?

Here are some websites to review.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cushioning observe footnote 2 refers to recently retired Dr. Paul Singh from MSU. You might be able to discuss the nature of his work with Dennis Young at MSU, 517-355-7522.

I can also search the ISTA and IOPP website for additional information.
